True Kindness is the Only Hope for Iraq

The quagmire in Iraq will be particularly difficult to get out of, in part, because we are dealing with an ancient culture of vendetta. Our own behavior, of course, is no different--we kill innocents who fail to heed orders shouted in English to folks in noisy and confused contexts like roadblocks or during a midnight raid into a neighborhood, then get REALLY angry when the rebels retaliate.

However, one group has taken a first and significant step to model what must be done to break the cycle. According to Agence France Press, families of slain American soldiers have raised $600,000 for refugees from Fallujah. That's amazing and truly heroic. Read the story from this link.
